Visiting Scholar Research Fellowships

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy (RWJF Center) at the University of New Mexico (UNM) invites advanced graduate students specializing in health services research or policy analysis associated with Latinos, American Indians and other underrepresented groups in the United States to apply for one of the Visiting Graduate Research Fellowships.

Each fellowship includes a stipend of $10,000 per semester ($6,000 for summer semester) for up to three semesters. Scholars may choose to conduct original research about political, social, cultural or economic factors affecting the health or health care of Latinos, American Indians, and other underrepresented groups in the United States, or they may wish to enhance or complete their dissertations in these areas.

ELIGIBILITY

When awarded, these fellowships are limited to graduate students who are earning their doctoral degrees from an accredited U.S. institution other than the University of New Mexico, and who have completed all course and examination requirements for the doctorate by the time of the initial appointment. All applicants must affiliate and work with a UNM faculty member in their respective social science discipline, and preferences will be given to applicants from economics, political science or sociology programs.
